I grew up in an artistic family. My parents were amateur photographers who had a deep passion for photography. I spent many Sunday nights with my family laughing and watching slides my parents took before us kids were born. These memories of my family spending time together are some of my most precious memories. While I was in high school my father purchased for me, two old and used cameras from a yard sale. With these two cameras, he taught me what he knew about photography. We spent hours together capturing images. We would travel together just to take pictures of areas we have never seen. Since those days, my father (whom has passed away a couple years after the purchase of the two cameras), left me with his passion for photography. I still use the old cameras once in a while. They leave me with feelings and memories of my family as well as my hope for the future. After high school I started my own family and decided to attend The New Brunswick College of Craft and Design where I recently graduated in May 2005 with a diploma in the Fine Craft of Photography. While a student at the craft college, I had many opportunities to gain experience. I took pictures for Boston Pizza, the Court of Appeal, the annual Fashion Show at the Lord Beaverbrook hotel the Fashion department of the Craft College produce, as well as many other portraits, weddings and events from clients, friends, and family. Without those experiences, I know I would not be where I am today and for them, I am truly thankful.
